How are contacts created?
You can create contacts in several ways.
From the Create New... drop down option
Click Contact
From the Contacts tab (i.e. object)
You can create a contact from scratch by going to the Contacts tab and click New.
From a Lead
Go to a Lead record and click Convert.
From an Account
In the Account tab, scroll down to the Contacts section and click New Contact
