Perform a search for the contact you would like to create
Before you create a new contact, it is always good practice to search for him/her first to make sure you're not making a duplicate record.

Create a new contact record
Using any of the methods described here, create a new contact.
Enter Contact information
Enter all of the contact information you can.
Account Name is the name of the organization they work for. If there is no organization (e.g. self-employed), then the account name will just be their full name.
