What is Salesforce and how do I learn how to use it?

If you know exactly what you want, you can search for it in the search bar at the top of the page.

You can quickly navigate to information you need by clicking on the object (also called tabs) along the top.

I am not going to go through everything there is to know about Salesforce in this article because that is boring and nobody likes reading that. Instead, you will learn how to use Salesforce by actually doing things inside of Salesforce like creating leads, setting up campaigns, loading files, etc.

So if you want to know what you should do, ask your sales manager. Then reference the ScreenSteps documentation to see exactly how to do it.

Example:

"Hey manager, what do I do?"

"You can put together our key objectives for our March Campaign for selling escalators. Once we have that completed, you can set up an email campaign for March titled 'The different types of escalators, and which one is right for you.' Make sure to adjust member status values to match the standard email status value. When that's done, can you create a target list using the 'Escalator Leads' report?

"I'll look over it once you're done, and then you can use Constant Contact to execute the campaign. When we get our results we'll capture the responses through a mass update via file import and do a Campaign ROI Analysis report."
