Modify records without opening them up

If you want to update records in bulk from a list view so you don't have to open them up individually, you must check this setting

Select Enable Inline Editing

Select Enable Inline Editing

Select multiple records and double click the field you want to update

You get a popup window where you can choose to update all selected records
